Rachel & Michael tied the knot on 27th July 2019 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dudley. It was a really lovely little church with wonderful character.
How would I describe this wonderful couple???… they are fun-loving caring people with family at the heart of everything. It really was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their big day, we truly had a brilliant day!
Our day started at Rachel’s Dad’s house in Dudley… he was definitely outnumbered with a house full of ladies but managed to keep the house lively and full of music throughout the preparations… not to mention his skills in Prosecco cocktails which were flowing nicely!
After the bridal preparations we headed off to Ebenezer Baptist Church to capture Michael and his best man. Guests started to slowly arrive as we walked into the church. The ceremony was lovely and intimate followed by a quaint afternoon tea in a room at the back of the church, all arranged by Michael’s Mom and some members of the church & family. It had this real traditional British church-family feel about it with all homemade cakes and bunting hanging from the ceiling.
This is where we left the guests to enjoy their afternoon tea whilst we headed off to their reception venue… The Fox at Stourton. We captured the details of their room whilst waiting for them to arrive, and scoured the most lovely locations for some stunning photos. Michael’s Mom had made a really gorgeous wedding cake with a layer of lemon drizzle cake sandwiched between Victoria sponges. I was not surprised to hear that most of the lovely bridal party worked at Oopsy Daisy’s in Merry Hill, which if you didn’t know is a really sweet tea rooms within the centre, they also sell characteristic reclaimed furniture and wonderful gifts.
Upon arriving at The Fox at Stourton we were greeted with a wonderful table of refreshments including Pimms, Lager, Mojitos and Gin cocktails! They all looked so vibrant and refreshing, which was needed as it was a rather muggy day with the odd splatter of rain (which did not make a spot of difference to the day might I add!) Everyone embraced the weather and got out on the balcony to enjoy some beverages and a good old chat.
The happy couple arrived in their family’s car… which really was so in tune with their day! It was this gorgeous bottle green… which might I add broke down outside The Fox just after the confetti shot… and it had to be pushed by a group of guests to get it back up and onto the carpark! Ha! All part of the fun ey?!
A hog roast was the choice of evening food for guests… it really did smell out of this world (we were offered some but I am a walking allergy and had to sadly decline!).
We would just like to thanks Rachel and Michael for choosing us to capture their wedding. It really was a beautiful day and we feel honoured that we were a part of it. We wish you the very best for your future together as husband and wife!
